Elbette Kohn\u2019dan hemen sonra gelen ve kurdu\u011fu kal\u0131p hik\u00e2ye ile milliyet\u00e7ilik \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131nda etkisini h\u00e2l\u00e2 devam ettiren Gellner\u2019i de anmadan ge\u00e7memek gerekir. Milliyet\u00e7ilik, modernle\u015fme, end\u00fcstrile\u015fme aras\u0131nda kurulan bir taraf\u0131yla sahici ama ba\u011flant\u0131 noktalar\u0131n\u0131n muhtevas\u0131 bak\u0131m\u0131ndan suni anlat\u0131, \u0130talyan milliyet\u00e7ili\u011finin \u00fcnl\u00fc \u201c\u0130talya\u2019y\u0131 kurduk, \u015fimdi s\u0131ra \u0130talyanlar\u0131 yaratmakta\u201d c\u00fcmlesinde kendisini bulan milletlerin kabaca 17. Y\u00fczy\u0131ldan itibaren ba\u015flayan bir sosyal in\u015fa s\u00fcrecinin neticesi olduklar\u0131, dolay\u0131s\u0131yla yapay-kurgusal-h\u00e2y\u00e2l edilmi\u015f olduklar\u0131 arg\u00fcman\u0131na s\u0131kl\u0131kla ba\u015fvuruluyor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Bu yakla\u015f\u0131m\u0131n en temel hatalar\u0131ndan ya da belki daha do\u011fru bir ifadeyle aksayan y\u00f6nlerinden birisi milliyet\u00e7ili\u011fi entelekt\u00fcel a\u00e7\u0131dan s\u0131\u011f bir d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnce bi\u00e7imi olarak de\u011ferlendirme e\u011filimidir. Irwin Schik\u2019in bir internet portalinde yay\u0131nlanan makalesinde kulland\u0131\u011f\u0131 \u201cmilliyet\u00e7ili\u011fe ve benzeri d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnce bi\u00e7imlerine (\u00f6rne\u011fin sporda amigoluk gibi) derin ve ele\u015ftirel d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnme al\u0131\u015fkanl\u0131klar\u0131 olmayan, kafalar\u0131 pek \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmayan insanlar\u0131n akl\u0131 gayet kolay yatar\u201d c\u00fcmlesi ve devam\u0131ndaki analizler bu arka plandan besleniyor. Benzeri d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnce bi\u00e7imleri dedikten sonra \u201camigoluk\u201d \u00f6rne\u011fi vermesi hayli ilgin\u00e7. Mesela T\u00fcrkiye\u2019nin 1960\u2019l\u0131 y\u0131llar\u0131ndaki sosyalist hareket tecr\u00fcbesini okusayd\u0131, kendisini \u015fahsen tan\u0131mam ama akademik ahl\u00e2ka sahip bir kimseyse e\u011fer, parantez i\u00e7erisinde \u201c\u00f6rne\u011fin 1960\u2019lar T\u00fcrk solu\u201d da diyebilirdi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Benim a\u00e7\u0131mdan bir tesad\u00fcf, tam da bu makaleden \u00f6nce 1960\u2019l\u0131 y\u0131llar\u0131n \u00f6\u011frenci liderlerinden Bozkurt Nuho\u011flu ile yap\u0131lan bir m\u00fclakat\u0131 dinlemi\u015ftim. Schik\u2019in ifadeleriyle, T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de ele\u015ftirel d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcncenin \u00f6nc\u00fcleri olarak de\u011ferlenen baz\u0131 kimselerden aktard\u0131klar\u0131 hayli enteresan. Kendisine kulak verelim:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cT\u00fcrkiye\u2019de ilk \u2018Sosyalizm Nedir?\u2019 diye bir kitap \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131. Ben bunu ald\u0131m, 30 sayfa kadar. Yenikap\u0131\u2019ya gittim, okudum. Sinirlendim \u00e7ok\u2026 Ko\u015ftum \u00fcniversiteye. Gittim Tar\u0131k Zafer\u2019e, girdim odas\u0131na. Kitab\u0131 att\u0131m masas\u0131na. Dedim ki \u201cBak bu kitapta neler yaz\u0131yor. Siz bunlar\u0131n hi\u00e7birini bize \u00f6\u011fretmiyorsunuz hocam.\u201d Hoca b\u00f6yle sakin sakin kitab\u0131 ald\u0131, bakt\u0131. \u201cNe k\u0131z\u0131yorsun Bozkurt\u201d dedi, \u201cbiz de sosyalizmi yeni \u00f6\u011freniyoruz.\u201d \u201c<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>O\u011fuzhan M\u00fcft\u00fco\u011flu\u2019nun an\u0131lar\u0131nda da benzer bir anekdot vard\u0131 diye hat\u0131rl\u0131yorum, sosyalizmi bilmeden nas\u0131l sosyalist olduklar\u0131na ili\u015fkin. Yine 1960\u2019larda ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirilen terc\u00fcmelerin b\u00fcy\u00fck \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcde hatal\u0131 ya da spek\u00fclatif bi\u00e7imde ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirildi\u011fine dair \u00e7ok\u00e7a \u015fahitlik oldu\u011funu belirtmek laz\u0131m. Burada esas meselem T\u00fcrk sosyalizminin entelekt\u00fcel zafiyetlerini ortaya koymak de\u011fil. Mesele T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de de d\u00fcnyada da, sa\u011fda da solda da \u201csporda amigoluk\u201d kabilinden d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnce bi\u00e7imleri ve bunlar\u0131n sempatizanlar\u0131 varken meselenin s\u00fcrekli milliyet\u00e7ilik \u00fczerinden de\u011ferlendiriliyor olmas\u0131. Stalinizmi Rus milliyet\u00e7ili\u011finin bir bi\u00e7imi olarak de\u011ferlendiren ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar da var diye Stalinizm iyi bir \u00f6rnek olmayabilir belki ama Castrocular mesela \u00e7ok mu derinlikli, ele\u015ftirel bak\u0131\u015f a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131na sahipler?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bu durum bir taraf\u0131yla kolayc\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131n, di\u011fer taraf\u0131yla da milliyet\u00e7ilik ara\u015ft\u0131rmalar\u0131na ili\u015fkin tek y\u00f6nl\u00fc bak\u0131\u015f\u0131n neticesi. Rogers Brubaker milliyet\u00e7ilik ara\u015ft\u0131rmalar\u0131nda yap\u0131lan b\u00fcy\u00fck yanl\u0131\u015flar\u0131 ve yanl\u0131\u015f anlama bi\u00e7imlerini bir makalesinde detayland\u0131rm\u0131\u015ft\u0131, burada o hususa girmeyece\u011fim. Ancak bir usanm\u0131\u015fl\u0131kla b\u00fct\u00fcn milliyet\u00e7ilikleri tek bir \u00e7uvala s\u0131k\u0131\u015ft\u0131r\u0131p onun \u00fczerinden de\u011ferlendirme yapmak, akademik yakla\u015f\u0131mla ne kadar uyumlu onun takdirini okuyucuya b\u0131rakay\u0131m ama, en az\u0131ndan dezenformasyon t\u0131n\u0131s\u0131 ta\u015f\u0131yan bir tav\u0131r.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Milliyet\u00e7ilikler i\u00e7in sadece \u201c\u015fehirli\u201d, sadece otoriteryen\u201d ya da \u201cdemokratik\u201d gibi tan\u0131mlar kullanmak ne kadar m\u00fcmk\u00fcn ya da bilimsel a\u00e7\u0131dan ne kadar do\u011fru? &nbsp;M. Mann\u2019\u0131n bir \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmas\u0131 milliyet\u00e7ilik \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131ndaki bu sakat e\u011filimi Bat\u0131 milliyet\u00e7iliklerinin \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcmlenmesi a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan ele alm\u0131\u015ft\u0131. Ona g\u00f6re, \u00f6rne\u011fin ara\u015ft\u0131rmalarda genellikle en m\u00fckemmel modernle\u015fme ve milliyet\u00e7ilik \u00f6rne\u011fi olarak g\u00f6sterilen (\u015fehirli, demokratik vb.) 19. Y\u00fczy\u0131l \u0130ngiliz milliyet\u00e7ili\u011fi demokratik olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 gibi alenen \u0131rk\u00e7\u0131yd\u0131. Mann\u2019\u0131n bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmas\u0131n\u0131 kendisine model alarak yola \u00e7\u0131kan Todosijevic de S\u0131rp milliyet\u00e7ili\u011fi \u00fczerinden benzer bulgulara ula\u015ft\u0131. Bu \u00e7er\u00e7evede bir milliyet\u00e7ilik hem etnik hem de demokratik \u00f6zellikler g\u00f6sterebilir. Bir ba\u015fka bak\u0131\u015fla milliyet\u00e7ili\u011fin s\u0131\u011f ve derin yerleri vard\u0131r. S\u0131\u011fl\u0131klar ve derinlikler konjonkt\u00fcrle de yak\u0131ndan ilgilidir. Bu \u00e7er\u00e7evede milliyet\u00e7iliklerin farkl\u0131 d\u00f6nemleri ve bu d\u00f6nemlerdeki politik farkl\u0131l\u0131klardan temellenen farkl\u0131 \u00f6zellikleri oldu\u011funu s\u00f6ylemek daha do\u011frudur. Daha da \u00f6nemlisi ise bir milliyet\u00e7ili\u011fin birden fazla yorumunun bulundu\u011fu \/ bulunabilece\u011fi ger\u00e7e\u011finin g\u00f6z ard\u0131 edilmemesidir.
